Very professional and caring staff who helped us get our sons back. One has been sober for five years, and my second son for three years. This place is second to none. I highly recommend this establishment. From the CEO on down, they give it their all and work hard to make sure that their clients remain sober for the long haul. They are the absolute best. Thank you High Watch.

An amazing place. Very caring and professional staff.
High Watch Recovery Center is a fantastic facility all-around! I cannot say enough about the quality of the campus, the staff, and the program overall. I spent 90+ days there and have never felt better. From admissions to the therapists to the general staff - there is so much support and love. More importantly - I developed a very solid network with other guests during my stay - friendships that are still going strong. High Watch also ensures that a connection to the program is maintained through Saturday nigh AA-meetings (open to the public), an alumni Facebook page, and a weekly Transitions programs aimed at helping recently discharged guests with their transition back to general life. There is a ton of love at High Watch - and I can honestly say it was a life-changing experience. Admissions worked diligently and patiently with me - and, for this, I have the utmost respect for the facility. The most important part of the program is that it is 12-step based and their is a great emphasis for guests to work with a step-coach in the journey toward recovery. There are numerous electives and meetings to attend as well. You are kept busy - and this structure has the right balance of program and "free-time" (generally used to connect with other guests). I had the privilege of participating in the Extended Guest program which granted me responsibilities and helped me rebuild my confidence and work on my personal recovery. Other rehab facilities cannot compare. If you are serious about recovery - High Watch Recovery Center is the place for you. If you put in the work and effort - there is plenty of support and love to guide you. PS - The food is unbelievable. And so is Alyssa in admissions (ask for her).
The Hill of Hope gave me the strength and tools to stay sober one day at a time! Prayer ,Meetings, 12Steps, and don't USE today. There is just a very special presence I can feel here every time I visit. This just works!! God Bless!
My friends hear me say this all the time about High Watch: it saved my life, and as importantly it gave me new life. I was a pretty broken guy when I arrived there. I was lucky enough to spend 100 days or so there, and came out healthier than I had been in 20 years, spiritually enlightened, and hopeful/positive once again. My faith in myself and others was restored. I cannot say enough positive things about the staff, from administration to therapists to coaches to nursing to milieu to the kitchen. If you are someone in need or know someone in need, this is the place - bar none, in my opinion.
I was in and out of rehabs for years, but it was at High Watch Recovery Center, that I was able to stay sober for over 14 years now! The facility is like a Bed and Breakfast. Very comfortable, and the food is delicious! The staff gave me the love, empathy, and education I needed to live a happy, sober life.
I have worked in other addiction treatment settings and can say without hesitation that High Watch Recovery Center is the most compassionate and caring environment in which I’ve worked. The guests are viewed and treated with the respect, dignity, and compassion they deserve. Many of the staff members are in recovery themselves and understand the challenges and fears associated with facing addiction head on. High Watch is closely associated with the AA founders and has a rich history. Here the 12 Steps and AA principles are seamlessly incorporated into the treatment program. Guests receive therapists, 12 Step Coaches, a psychiatric professional to monitor medications, a team of medical professionals to meet guests’ physical needs, and a staff dedicated to their well-being. Guests may also participated in yoga or equine therapy, and a ropes course was added over the winter. Other enrichment projects are also in development, and it is an exciting time to be a part of the High Watch community. I’m proud to work for such an amazing company.
High Watch Recovery Center is the best of the best. The knowledgeable staff, attention to detail and never ending care for the guests is what makes them the best at what they do. It is the place you have been looking for to start on the journey of recovery that will last a lifetime if you use what they teach you.
A little over 8 years ago I was a broken man, literally dying. High Watch and its amazing staff taught me how to live a life without alcohol and drugs and gave me all the tools to become the person I am today. Sober for over 8 years straight!
I had spent my entire life feeling like I needed to perform in front of people in order to gain acceptance, to the point where I lost who I fundamentally was without all the masks I chose to wear throughout each day. High Watch provided a safe, loving environment where I was finally able to be the person my higher power intended me to be. I was given the skills to practice accepting myself without adding a substance, whether that was alcohol, drugs, food or a relationship. High Watch also gave me a full education on the twelve steps of Alcoholics Anonymous so that once I discharged, I felt comfortable going to meetings and being a part of the AA community. In addition to this, my underlying mental health issues were simultaneously addressed which I now know was imparitive for long term recovery. My depression fueled my drinking and my drinking fueled my depression. The therapists and psychiatrists cultivated the healing environment that was vital to realizing the connection between my mental health and addiction. One of the best things about High Watch is the fact that most of the staff is in recovery and they’re very open about their own stories. It gave me hope to see that it was indeed possible to recover and thrive. As a 20-something year old woman, I had a pattern of rebelling against authority figures so it was crucial to know that there was no hierarchy between guests and staff. I have been to five treatment centers and I would without a doubt return to High Watch if I found myself struggling with substance abuse and/or mental health issues again.
This placed saved my life. 57 days of love, kindness, understanding and phenomenal food. I found my Higher Power and I was taught all the tools I need to stay sober after 45 years. Thank you and God Bless High Watch. Mary M
A lifesaver, but only if you let it be. When I went to HW after probably 25 years of alcohol struggles, two things were in my mind. 1: I would never be able to beat alcoholism, and 2: I would be willing to completely let go of my control and open myself to the program and willing to let my higher power take over. After a few days I was a different person. I had realistic hope and confidence was building. My initial couple of days were dominated with visits to the fine medical staff to ensure I was healthy and able to move forward. The nursing station and MD appointments are a constant with good cause. These addictions are deadly. I need to add that many of the "guests" with me had been in numerous like facilities in the past. Obviously with negative or temporary results. That would have also been me had I not surrendered to the fact that I could never win the fight alone and let myself follow what has worked so many times for countless others. The program offered did not allow for itself failing me, but I could fail it if I allowed myself buy not following it. I had constant professional support and guidance. I saw my therapist at least twice a week and he (Steve) cut right through the BS and was the most helpful therapist I've ever seen. Every aspect of the services offered were top notch. But they had to be taken and taken seriously. Many "classes" were optional that you could pass on in lieu of another or reading, sleeping, field trips or going to the gym. The men in my dorm still talk or chat daily thru group chats or calls. We will forever have a bond in that we all survived what surely was destined to kill us. I'd always been skeptical about these facilities as I've looked at the failure rate as being too high. I no longer feel that way. At least with High Watch, we were given a structure that supports a sober life and all the tools we need to carry that gift forward. I could only liken the food to being on a high end cruise. The food was amazing with numerous options. I heard the average 30 day weight gain was in the area of 20 lbs.
HWRC is an incredibly serene place. I was able to take a pause and learn how to manage life on life's terms. I'm eternally grateful for my experience and thankful for the amazing staff and therapist who helped me along my journey.
HWRC provides a calming atmosphere with a helpful, knowledgeable, and caring staff to allow for a great healing environment.
The people who work at High Watch Recovery are amazing. They're passionate about helping others, professional and sincere. If you're looking for that starting point to change your life around, this is the place!
Best decision I ever made.
I was a guest at High Watch in early 2017, it was by far the most transformative experience of my life. The staff, the food, the rooms, everything was top notch. I would recommend High Watch to anyone who is serious about getting sober.
I was a guest at high watch 6 months ago--it was exactly what i needed to start my journey in to recovery. My therapist was amazing and the focus on AA has helped me stay sober all this time. Everything from the rooms, the food, the groups, the AA meetings, the amazing friendly staff who all really seem to understand addiction if they arent in recovery themselves though most seem to be. Thank you so much to high watch for showing me a life i didnt think was possible.
Great place for rehab.
